String Project Magic

The comfort of a multifilament, the performance of a monofilament.

String Project Magic is an Arm Friendly® monofilament tennis string engineered to combine the comfort of a multifilament with the spin of a monofilament. Made with a low polyester content and multiple heat treatments, it absorbs vibrations to prevent arm fatigue, while still delivering high responsiveness and excellent grip on spin.

Technical Specifications and On-Court Ratings

Multifilament comfort, monofilament grip

String Project Magic offers a level of comfort (9/10) comparable to a multifilament string, protecting the arm even during extended play sessions. At the same time, it keeps the exceptional grip on the ball typical of monofilament strings, allowing you to generate spin (9/10) with effectiveness and precision. Its easily controllable power (8/10) lets you drive the ball with ease.

Innovative Technology and Composition

The distinctive feature of String Project Magic lies in its special blend of different materials, characterised by a low polyester content and subjected to multiple heat-setting processes. This unique formula makes it a benchmark among "Arm Friendly®" monofilament strings, offering an unmatched combination of softness and responsiveness.

The manufacturing processes

01

Spring Load

This technology allows the molecular chains to contract repeatedly, resulting in minimal tension loss and, above all, greater stability of the string's properties.

02

Pre-Stretch

Thanks to the "pre-stretch" of the core, the entire string minimises tension loss while at the same time allowing a lower stringing tension.

03

Double Heating

The "heat treatments" remove internal stresses and even out any irregularities in the string. They also make the strings more flexible and elastic.

04

Liquid Wax

The string is finished with a layer of wax. This treatment significantly extends its lifespan by reducing wear and making stringing easier.

05

Low Friction

Reducing the string's friction delivers: reduced string movement, greater spin potential thanks to improved snap-back, and a longer lifespan.

A Dual Personality on Court

Magic reveals a dual nature on court: it feels gentle and soft on the arm, absorbing impacts and reducing vibrations, yet it transforms into a responsive, high-performance string when it comes to delivering speed and snap-back to generate effective spin.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about String Project Magic

Is the String Project Magic string suitable for those who suffer from tennis elbow (epicondylitis)?

Yes. Thanks to its Arm Friendly® certification and a very low dynamic stiffness (222 g/mm certified in the laboratory), Magic absorbs impact shocks excellently, making it one of the safest and most comfortable monofilaments for preventing joint inflammation.

What makes Magic different from other monofilament strings?

String Project Magic uses a special blend with a low polyester content and multiple heat-setting processes. This unique combination gives it the comfort typical of a multifilament while keeping the performance of a monofilament.

What is the recommended stringing tension for Magic?

The ideal tension range measured in the laboratory is between 18 and 23 Kg. We recommend not exceeding 23 Kg to preserve the extreme elasticity and arm protection that characterise this modified polyester.

Which gauge should I choose?

The 1.26 mm (16L) gauge offers more spin and sensitivity, ideal for those seeking feel. The 1.30 mm (16) is the perfect balance for most players. The 1.35 mm (15) guarantees greater durability and control for those who hit with power.

How long does String Project Magic last before losing tension (tension maintenance)?

Thanks to the Pre-Stretch technology on the core and the multiple heat treatments (Double Heating), this string minimises the natural tension drop. It maintains consistent power and comfort for around 15-20 hours of intensive play.

Who is this string for?

String Project Magic is versatile and suitable for all levels: from beginners looking for comfort, to competitive players who need control and spin, all the way to players with arm problems who need protection.
