A tree funded for every product sold
For every String Project product sold we fund the planting of a tree through Tree-Nation. The project and the data of the String Project forest can be viewed on the public Tree-Nation profile.
Why we fund a tree
Trees are fundamental elements of the planet, for people and for the environment: they purify water and air, provide a home for many forms of life and improve soil quality.
At String Project we believe it is our duty to take care of the Earth and take concrete action to restore the balance of forests.
Producing and shipping our products has environmental impacts. Separately from the actions taken in our own operations, we support tree-planting projects through Tree-Nation: for every product sold we fund one tree.
This initiative is not used to claim that String Project products are carbon neutral or free of environmental impact.
Tree-Nation, our partner
We chose Tree-Nation, an organisation dedicated to fighting climate change.
To manage this initiative we use Tree-Nation, a platform that records the funded trees and the associated planting projects. The public String Project profile shows the data of our forest and of the supported projects.
Where the supported projects are located
According to the String Project profile on Tree-Nation, the funded trees are associated with projects in Madagascar, Tanzania, Senegal and Cameroon, aimed at preserving local biodiversity.
According to the Tree-Nation project sheets, the initiatives also support local communities: for example in the Magamba nature reserve and the Jegestal water source.
How it works
You don't have to do anything. After your order, our system sends Tree-Nation the number of trees associated with the purchased products; Tree-Nation records the contribution and sends you the notification provided by its service.
