Our environmental initiatives
String Project runs several initiatives related to the environmental impacts of its activities. On this page we describe the actions we have taken, the available data and the projects we support, indicating verifiable sources where possible.
Actions and data
We have identified a number of areas where we can act directly or through our suppliers and partners.
Electricity from renewable sources
The electricity purchased for our headquarters comes from renewable sources, according to our supplier's contract.
Electric mobility
We use electric vehicles for part of our business travel: while driving they produce no tailpipe emissions.
IT infrastructure
Our digital services are hosted in data centres run by external providers: for the environmental characteristics of the infrastructure we refer to the documentation published by the provider.
Packaging materials
For shipments we use cardboard boxes and paper filling, to be disposed of according to local recycling rules.
How we choose some suppliers
When selecting some suppliers, such as packaging and logistics, we also consider the environmental information they make available.

Through Plastiks.io we support plastic recovery operations with credits and guarantees linked to verifiable projects. The quantities associated with the String Project profile are published on the dedicated page.
